To reduce the preparation time, this mixture can be rolled in to small balls.


400 g 1 day old bread rolls, cubed
1 tab Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
2 eggs
300 ml milk
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
40 g butter
2 tablespoons bread crumbs

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 In a greased oven tray place 1 day old bread rolls, cut in cubes. Leave in the oven, on low heat, until they get golden colour.
  • 2 To mixed eggs add Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder, milk, parsley and the bread cubes. Mix thoroughly and let stand for about 20 minutes.
  • 3 Make a roll out of the mixture.
  • 4 On a clean gauze (or thin kitchen towel) sprinkle the bread crumbs, put the bread roll on it and wrap the gauze tightly around.
  • 5 Tie each side of the gauze with some cotton thread, and cook in boiling, salted water for about 30 minutes.
  • 6 When cooked, strain the water, remove the gauze and cut into thick slices.


Dumplings can be served with meat in a sauce.
