Very nutritious and valuable seeds are becoming more widely used in the modern cuisine, especially sesame seeds. They have been known in Chinese cuisine for as long as several thousand years, however they have been used in sweet and savoury dishes in other countries as well.


800 g chicken breast fillets
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons soya sauce
½ cup plain flour
2-3 eggs
300 g sesame seeds
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder

  • 1 Cut the chicken breast in to thicker strips. Sprinkle with lemon juice, soya sauce and Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder. Let stand in this marinade for a few minutes.
  • 2 Cover with flour, then dip into mixed eggs (seasoned with a little salt and pepper), and roll them in the sesame and bread crumb mixture – prepared earlier.
  • 3 Deep fry in hot oil at medium temperature until golden.
  • 4 Remove from oil and place them on an absorbent paper tissue.


Sesame seeds can be replaced with chopped almonds.


You can serve sesame chicken hot or cold, with various sauces, for instance tartare.

The exquisite taste is added to the chicken through the spices mixed in the marinade.
