Steak Sandwich
A sandwich can sound plain and ordinary, however this recipe makes it come alive. It only takes minutes to prepare and it is a nutritious and just a delicious solution. This could be a perfect lunch idea or even a dinner option for those nights when cooking for longer than ½ hr just sounds too much for one day.

Ingredients
| 4 | |
| 4 x 120g | blade steak, about 1cm thick |
| 1 tsp | Vegeta Chicken stock powder |
| sea salt | |
| pepper | |
| extra virgin olive oil | |
| 1 | loaf of rye bread, sliced 1cm thick |
| 1 tsp | beetroot relish |
| 1 | oak lettuce, ripped into 4 large pieces |
| 1 | tomato, sliced |
| 1 tbsp | whole egg mayonnaise |
Preparation
- Season the steaks both sides with Vegeta Chicken stock, sea salt and pepper.
- Heat up the oil on a griddle pan or BBQ and cook the steaks, both sides for about 2 – 3 minutes then rest on wire rack for as long as half of total cooking time. Toast the bread slices as well.
- Assemble the sandwiches together by arranging on the bread the steak, beetroot relish, tomato slices, lettuce and the mayonnaise.
Serving
Slice and serve straight away.
Tip
Resting any meat before serving will allow the meat to relax thus becoming much more tender. Instead of beetroot relish you can use Ajvar vegetable relish, available in mild or hot flavour.
