Grilled Chicken Legs
Chicken prepared this way is simply delicious. A combination of sealing in the flavours and then baking to complete the recipe brings out a chef in everyone. Then as we add spices like thyme and paprika and finish off with some fresh lemon slices we really perfect the recipe. It is a yummy idea which no doubt will become a regular on the menu.

Ingredients
| 4 | |
| 4 | chicken marylands |
| 1 tspn | Vegeta Chicken stock powder |
| sea salt | |
| pepper | |
| ½ tspn | red paprika powder |
| 4 tbsps | olive oil |
| 1 | whole lemon, sliced ½ cm thick |
| ½ | bunch thyme |
Preparation
- Score the chicken legs by slicing 5 or 6 incisions about a centimeter deep.
- Marinate the chicken legs in a bowl with olive oil, sea salt, pepper, Vegeta Chicken stock and red paprika. Add lemon slices and thyme to marinating mixture.
- Heat up a griddle pan (or BBQ) and sear the legs skin side down until golden brown, even a little charred, if prefer that way! Turn over and repeat the process until the same result is achieved on other side.
- Place the chicken in oven proof baking dish with the lemon and thyme and bake at 180°C for 25 min, or until tender.
Serving
Serve hot with some lemon and thyme garnish.
