The Culinary 2008
- Published:
- 5.03.2008.
The
culinary world scene in 2008 continues to follow the paths defined in previous
years, but never was it this fresh, fair and vivid.
Until the end of 2008 we will go on with the snacking. The Snacks are getting healthier, easier to digest with the likes of only 100kcal. Along with the classic snacks, there are also ethno-snacks. Kous-kous on the go, the hard-boiled corn mush with parmesan cheese, the fried sardines, sushi, ginger bread and more. Considerably smaller snacks give us an opportunity to gather various culinary experiences as often as possible and in a shorter period of time.
The fair trade food has been finding its way from the specialized shops to the supermarkets in the last couple of years. With coffee, there are also fair trade chocolate, tropical fruits, honey, wine, tea, spices, sugar, jam and other food. The fair trade is on its way to change the classic trade relations between the rich and the poor nations, but also to adopt the responsibility to the environment.
The responsibility to the environment can be found in the sustainability, which is in again. The sustainable farming gives an opportunity to produce food without harming the nature, and also to respect the producers, animals, consumers and the community.
The famous cuisine of Korea, Africa and Brazil lead the ethno cuisine trend. The biodynamic wines have joined to the probiotic food which has continued its trend in 2008.
The passion for food, the play with flavors, having friends over while cooking, and cooking with friends, the kitchen for those who prepare the food, fusion cuisine, fun, but also the responsibility - this all awaits us in 2008.
The culinary world is a warm, creative and human place this year.
Do not forget to make room in it for the upcoming spring food, the St. Patrick's Day and other occasions to celebrate your love for food and beverages.
