Citrus fruits are an endless source of inspiration for artists. Poets and painters often use yellow-green fruit to express their innermost splendor of emotions.
Nature gave us precious citrus fruit whose contribution to preserving health has been scientifically proven. Beautiful colors and simplicity of form made citrus perfect for pleasures of human senses.
Heavenly grapefruit and fragrant orange
It is a common and justified opinion that citrus fruit delays ageing. They preserve tissue and strengthen blood vessels, making skin softer.
Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is popular among people who tried various slimming diets. Grapefruit juice stimulates fat loss and for that reason it has found its place on the list of dietary drinks. This "heavenly" fruit of light yellow color is the largest among citrus fruit and its taste is bitter and refreshing.
Orange (Citrus aurantium) is the fruit with the highest number of favorable features. Orange largely contributes to prevention of heart diseases and cancer, because it contains numerous phytosubstances which have anti-inflammatory and antitumor influence on the human body.
The fragrance of orange flower is enchanting. Simple white orange flowers are used in tea production. Fragrant orange flower tea has soothing effect and is used for healing insomnia.

Lemon (Citrus limonium) is a synonym for organism recovery and is very popular among convalescents and people with cold and flu. Lemon aroma is intense and its taste is sour. Lemon is used for preparing drinks and is used in a variety of culinary applications (for example, when preparing game, or marinade for fish).
Lemon zest and the soft parts of the fruit are used for enriching the flavor of the dishes. Fruit zest contains glycosides, essential oils and hesperidins, which provide specific aroma and flavor to meals. Lemons are usually squeezed and used for preparing juice and lemonades.
Clementine's and tangerines have even more pleasant taste. Their zest is easily removed and they are mainly consumed fresh. They are well suited for preparing juices and jams.
Citrus fruit phytosubstances strengthen capillary walls and decrease negative influence of free radicals.
Also, they are rich in vitamins C and B, and especially important is their high content of folic acid which is recommended to pregnant women and children. Furthermore, they contain a variety of minerals, particularly potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron.
What else can be said...
