Preparation of this meal "alla cartoccio" (Italian), simply means preparation in paper bag, baking paper or foil.


800 g calamari, cleaned, washed and cut in rings
1 hot pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
100 g olives, pitted
50 ml white wine
2 - 3 tablespoons lemon juice
50 ml olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
300 g spaghetti
1 tablespoon Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 Cook the spaghetti in salted, boiling water. Then when they are half cooked drain and cool them.
  • 2 In a bigger bowl mix the spaghetti and calamari, and then add olive oil, lemon juice, olives, wine, garlic and hot pepper.
  • 3 Sprinkle all with Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder and parsley leaves, and mix well.
  • 4 Cut the baking paper in 4 bigger rectangle pieces.
  • 5 Arrange equal amount of spaghetti and calamari mixture in each rectangle. Bring the sides of the paper together and tie with thread. This should then form shape of a boat.
  • 6 Place the prepared arrangements on a tray and cook in the preheated oven at 230 C, roughly 15-20 minutes.


Cool drained spaghetti under a cold running water.


Serve hot with salad.
