Beef eye fillet, is the best part of the beef. But it also demands special preparation. Correct amount and types of herbs and spices used, and just the right preparation technique. Keeping to this recipe, enriched with Mediterranean herbs, we believe will guarantee success.


1 beef fillet (800 g – 1 kg) (whole tenderloin or eye fillet)
1 teaspoon Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
50 g Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon chives, chopped
½ tablespoon dry thyme
1 crushed garlic clove

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 Clean the beef fillet from any veins, rub with Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder and spread with Dijon mustard.
  • 2 In hot oil, cook the beef, each side 3 minutes.
  • 3 Combine parsley, rosemary, chives and thyme.
  • 4 Place the cooked beef in an oven proof dish and sprinkle with the combined herbs, add garlic and cook in the preheated oven at 170° C for about 20-30 minutes.


Cleaned beef, covered in oil can keep in the fridge for a few days.


Serve with vegetables cooked in butter.
